Dues are $12.00 - This pays Local, Regional, State, and National Dues. Students also receieve the FFA New Horizons Magazine with thier dues payment.
CDE's - Career Development Events - These are the "contests" the kids are involved in on teams or individuals. When students join a team they should be committed to that team. If the team makes it to state after regional competition that is an honor and they are expected to attend State Convention. If this conflicts with Sports or other Activities parents are responsible for working with the advisor to get their child home. If this will be an issue it is better they do not get involved in a CDE because their team may not be complete to go to state without that student.
SAE's - Supervised Agriculture Experience - These are student projects. They are basically their jobs. Students can work with the advisor to excel and make goals for themselves! If they are interested in getting their State Degree and/or Proficiency they should start early in their FFA Career!
Community Service Projects - Students are required to do activities throughout the year that require them to give back in some capacity. We do PALS with 1st graders, we plan activities to raise money for local causes, Corn Drive for Camp Courage, etc. Encourage your child to get involved and support them!
